Note that this is a revised and transposed version of the 1926 Balaban & Katz training manual. Paramount Publix Service valued this training manual very highly and did not want it to get in the hands of its competitors. Each book was numbered hand numbered and it had bound in a letter from a "traveling auditor" that the manager of a specific theater had to sign, and a second contract between Paramount Publix and the specific theater saying that they promised to not only never loan the book, but to also never take it out of the theater, and to also keep it in the theater safe when not in use, and it clearly states that a traveling auditor will periodically stop by unannounced to make sure the book is present! We wouldn't have thought that these "trade secrets" needed to be guarded THIS thoroughly, but apparently so! Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one example of this book (which is numbered "339"), and that example has now been reconsigned to us, so this is still the only example we have ever auctioned! Also note that we have pictured the front cover, the title page, and the interior page that shows the publishing information, and one or more interior 2-page spreads. Condition: good.
