Some of his movies include: Planet of the Apes (as Cornelius), How Green Was My Valley, and The Longest Day. He also did much TV in his later years. In his later years, he found much additional success as a photographer, often photographing celebrities he knew personally. He passed away in 1998 at the age of 70. Important Added Info: Note that this letter has been personally autographed (signed) by Roddy McDowall! It is on his printed stationery and is entirely handwritten, and it also includes the envelope this letter was originally mailed in. Mr. McDowall thanks a fan who sent him money for his collection (likely foreign currency), and he tells the fan that he also collects postcards and stamps. Our consignor is a longtime dealer who acquired this signed item among many other purchases in his inventory, and he does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we believe the signature to likely be authentic. As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction.
