Linton"; "No. 2, for February 1851"; "Our tricolour - Mazzini, his life and writings - the Central European Democratic Committee, and its Acts - English Republican Organization - and Historic Summary.") advertising a monthly political magazine. Note that the English Republic was not only edited by William James Linton, but was mostly written by him! It never became profitable and was abandoned in 1855. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we can't say for certain that this poster is from 1851, but it seems quite possible that it is, as we can't see why someone would have reprinted it at any point. If anyone knows more about this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Note also that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: very good.
