Date Sold 11/15/2016Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Autographed Movie Program (measures 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" [11 x 14 cm]; 4 pages) (Learn More) Herbert J. Yates was the founder of Republic Pictures in 1935, remaining there until 1959. He was also a producer from the 1910s to the 1940s. Some of his works include: The Deacon's Whiskers, Bal Tabarin, and The Lady Wants Mink. He passed away in 1966 at the age of 85. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this item has been personally autographed (signed) by Herbert J. Yates (he inscribed it to Rex Allen)! Note that this item was consigned to us by a man who was a major movie memorabilia dealer from the 1980s on. During that time, he would regularly purchase collections of movie memorabilia from both dealers and collectors, and in some of those collections he purchased autographed items, and over the years he did not re-sell any of the autographed items. Now he has gathered up together all of his autographed items and consigned them to us. So all of the items from this consignor we are auctioning were purchased by this dealer from longtime dealers and collectors, and we feel it is quite likely that the autograph on this item is authentic! Condition: very good. The program was paper clipped in the middle right and there are indentations in that area. Learn More about condition grades
