An Original 1924 Vintage Theatrical English Movie Glass Slide (measures 3 1/4" x 3 1/4" [8 x 8 cm]) (Learn More) The Eagle's Talons, the 1923 Duke Worne silent action adventure serial starring Fred Thomson ("World's Champion Athlete"), Ann Little, Al Wilson ("Daredevil of the Air"), Herbert Fortier, and Joseph W. Girard. Note that this was Fred Thomson's fifth movie and his first starring role. He would soon become a major western star, but he is forgotten today because he passed away tragically before making any sound movies. Also note that we were unable to find out information about this movie, except that stuntman Jean Perkins was tragically killed performing an incredibly dangerous stunt, standing on a moving train and grabbing a rope ladder lowered from an airplane. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that any movie paper from this movie is incredibly rare. We have never auctioned any movie paper of any kind from this movie until we received this glass slide! Also note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). This slide is the kind that has two panes of glass that are taped together with black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of many older glass slides. We have provided a high quality scan of the image, but we have not taken a photo of the slide, because there would really be very little to see! Condition: very good.
