A Vintage Autographed Hardcover Book (measures 5 1/4" x 7 3/4" [13 x 20 cm]; 173 pages) (Learn More) Marc Connelly was a playwright, director, lyricist and actor from the 1890s (he began writing plays at the age of five!) to 1980. He won the 1930 Pulitzer Prize for Drama for his magnum opus The Green Pastures. Some of his other works include: Captains Courageous, Tall Story, and I Married a Witch. He passed away in 1980 at the age of 90. Important Added Info: Note that this item (which is the 27th printing of this book from 1949) has been personally autographed (signed) by Marc Connelly! Also note that we have pictured the front cover, the title page, and the interior page that shows the publishing information, and one or more interior 2-page spreads. Our consignor is a very longtime collector of movie paper who purchased this item years ago, and it was signed, but he doesn't know how the signature was obtained, and he (and we) believe it is likely that the autograph is authentic. As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction.
