An Autographed 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] REPRODUCTION Still (Learn More) Yakima Canutt was a stuntman, director, actor, and rodeo rider from the 1910s to the 1970s. Canutt worked closely with John Wayne, doubling as his stuntman and also teaching him how to do his own stunts. Some of his movies include: Hidden Valley Outlaws, Shadows on the Sage, and Gone With the Wind. When he was in charge of the stunts on a movie, he was called the "second unit director". His son, Joe Canutt became a major stuntman as well, and his dad directed his stunts in Ben-Hur in 1959, including those in the famous chariot race. He passed away in 1986 at the age of 90. Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by Yakima Canutt! Also note that many celebrities kept multiple 8" x 10" copies of good publicity images of themselves to sign for fans, and also many memorabilia shops sold such copy stills themselves. While they are not original stills, they are usually excellent clear copies, with a great shot of that celebrity in their heyday, which, when signed by the celebrity, makes for a wonderful framed picture on any fan's wall!
