We were not aware that there were ever French movie posters like this until we were consigned this poster and another one from a different silent movie (which we are offering in a separate auction)! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster was folded like a U.S. insert and it had some creases above and below the top and bottom folds. It had tiny pinholes in the corners and small paper loss in the top left blank corner, with some surface paper loss and faint stains in the top blank border. It had a 1" tear near the bottom of the right border, with a pinhole in the center of the bottom blank border. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking.
