An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Three-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 41" x 81") (Learn More) Lured (released outside the U.S. as "Personal Column"), the 1947 Douglas Sirk murder crime thriller ("Famous Artist seeks beautiful model. Meet 9 o'clock, sixty paces west of Battersea Bridge. Will wear red carnation."; "Don't answer this ad... Don't don't don't"; "Beautiful bait to trap a killer!"; "Manhunter- for a womankiller!"; "His alibi was clever... beautiful, too!"; "The night hides his secrets!"; "He couldn't kill- and yet..."; "How far would she go - to trap a killer or get her man?") starring George Sanders ("His alibi was clever... and she was very, very beautiful, too!"), Lucille Ball ("How far would she go to trap a killer... or any other man?"), Charles Coburn ("Eight beautiful girls on his mind ... and all of them quite dead!"), Boris Karloff ("What does he seek as he prowls mysteriously through the night?"), Sir Cedric Hardwicke ("Was he the artist who drew 8 beautiful girls to their deaths?"), Joseph Calleia, Alan Mowbray, and George Zucco NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that the poster can be folded partially, and we will send it in a large flat package that measures approximately 16" x 24". This three-sheet was printed in 2 sections. Condition: good to very good. Some theater long ago glued the two sections of the poster together. The poster was partially folded, and I would not want to try to completely fold it, so it will be sent in a large flat package that measures approximately 16" x 24". There are 12" of separation in the part of the foldline that starts at the end of George Sanders' credit and goes down through his name to the bottom left of the "L" of "LURED". There is a 4" L-shaped tear at the top of the above tear. There are small areas of paper loss at several crossfolds and many creases and small tears on several foldlines. There is much separation at the bottom of each of the vertical foldlines. No restoration has been performed on this poster, and after proper linenbacking by a top professional, the poster will look fantastic! This week we have given a more detailed overall condition grade along with more details about the condition described in words. Of course, we could not describe every single defect, plus there are some defects (like creasing, tape on the back, extremely tiny pinholes, etc) which can be VERY difficult to see, even in our largest "super-sized" image. Therefore we strongly recommend that you BOTH read our written description of the item, AND ALSO look at our super-sized image to see the extent of the defects that we describe and to examine the poster for minor defects that we did NOT describe.
