Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Major Bowes' Amateur Theatre of the Air, the 1935 John H. Auer RKO NBC radio show short ("Now... On the screen!"; "with Major Bowes himself and his prize winning entertainers"; "New Faces! New Talent! A New Idea in Entertainment!"). Note that there were several different one-sheets created for various Major Bowes amateur short subjects (all taken from his very popular radio show), and you can see more about the specific poster offered here in the Important Added Info section below. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that the acts this poster is promoting include: The Three Hot Spots (who were black African-American porters in downtown Manhattan who want to be 'hotcha singers'), Cogan Hillbillies, Major Ginsberg (who is actually Phil Lebowitz), The Oklahoma Mustang Wranglers, University of Missouri Quartet, The Stauffer Twins and Morris Sisters. Condition: very good. Prior to linenbacking, the poster was in very good condition. There were pinholes and smudges around the edges of the poster and some minor creases, small tears, and smudges throughout the poster. Whoever linenbacked the poster did next-to-nothing to touch up these defects, but they are really not very distracting. It should be noted that the linenbacker did not leave any excess linen around the edges of the poster, as many linenbackers do. Learn More about condition grades
