What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and some creases and scuffs along parts of several folds. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above. Also, the back of parts of the linen came in contact with moisture that slightly stained the back of the linen but it does not affect the front. Learn More about condition grades
