An Original Vintage Theatrical One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Guns, Girls, and Gangsters, the 1959 Edward L. Cahn Las Vegas Nevada bank-robbing crime thriller ("A Cheating Blonde... A Crazed Con... The Biggest Armored-Car Robbery in History!"; "Blonde Hell-Cat on the Prowl!"; "Blonde Dynamite!"; "A double-crossing gang queen... clawing and caressing her way into a two million dollar heist!"; about a group of criminals planning to rob a truck containing casino money) starring Mamie Van Doren, Gerald Mohr, Lee Van Cleef, Grant Richards, Elaine Edwards, and John Baer. Note that this movie sounds like a rip-off of Ocean's 11, but actually, this movie predates that movie! However, Ocean's 11 went into production in 1958, so one suspects that the producers of this movie learned of that and then rushed this movie out before Ocean's 11! If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster has been mounted onto a "Chartex"-like material (we are not 100% certain it is Chartex, but if not, it is something very similar. Chartex is a backing paper that is a linen-like paper, similar to the material you line drawers with. It serves its function well in that the poster is preserved, which is why many restorers other than movie poster restorers use it, but it is very difficult to impossible to remove from the back of the poster. SO DO NOT BID ON THIS POSTER UNLESS YOU CAN ACCEPT THAT IT LIKELY CAN'T BE REMOVED FROM ITS BACKING, AND WILL NEED TO BE KEPT AS IT IS (although it is not harming the poster, and it enables it to be displayed). Condition: good. The poster had some numbers written on the back that bled through to the front in the background above the man's head and slightly in Van Doren's arm. It had some wear on the folds and some tiny stains and tiny tears in parts of the borders. It was mounted onto "Chartex" (see above) with no restoration. It almost surely can't be removed from the backing, and the above defects are noticeable (see our super-sized image). Learn More about condition grades
