8 Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Cards (LCs; measure 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More)

Christmas in Connecticut, the 1945 Peter Godfrey post-World War II mistaken identity food cooking newspaper journalism romantic holiday comedy ("From an Original Story by Aileen Hamilton"; about a female newspaper columnist who pretends to be a homemaker and who runs recipes provided by her friend, but then her publisher decides to have a returning war hero spend Christmas at her home, eating her delicious home cooked meals, when actually, she can't do any of that, and she puts on a massive deception to fool everybody!) starring Barbara Stanwyck, Dennis Morgan, Sydney Greenstreet, Reginald Gardiner, S.Z. Sakall, Robert Shayne, Frank Jenks, and Betty Alexander. Note that the IMDb says that this movie was released in England under the title of "Indiscretion", but we have seen a U.S. title card with that title. We wonder if Warner Bros. released it both ways (especially because it was a Christmas movie that oddly opened in August!). If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Important Added Info: Note that the last time we auctioned a complete set of cards for this movie it sold for $812! Also note that this auction also includes the printed envelope this item originally came with!

Condition: good to very good. The title card has a tiny tear at left and some faint smudges around the edges. There is small surface paper loss at upper right. The card pictured below that has a stain at lower right in Morgan's jacket and neck (see our image). The card pictured to the title card's lower right has some stains around the edges and tiny ones in the image. The card pictured at upper left in our second image (Morgan holding the baby) has stains across the top edge and a pencil mark in Morgan's neck. The card pictured below it has a few tiny stains. The card pictured at upper right in that our second image has paper loss at lower right and a diagonal crease at lower left. The card pictured under that one (Stanwyck in fur) has a small tear at upper right. The cards are otherwise generally in pretty nice condition and they have no tape whatsoever on the front or back, and they never have had any restoration of any kind!
