An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More)

Olympic Cavalcade, the 1948 German Olympic Games sports documentary ("The greatest thrills ever caught on film... shot by 600 cameramen!"). This was a very odd documentary, because all of the film used was originally shot in 1936 at the Munich, Germany 1936 Summer Olympic Games, but because of World War II, it was all put into storage, and the film, which had been intended to be released in 1937, was not made. The Olympics in 1940 and 1944 were canceled, but in 1948, they were held in London, England, and the film that was shot from the 1936 Olympics was brought out of storage and crafted into a documentary, which was released in 1948, to capitalize on the excitement over the first Olympic Games in 12 years! So all of the footage in the documentary is from the 1936 German Summer Olympics games, and we don't know if a 1948 commentary was added to it. If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.

Condition: good to very good. There are pinholes and a few tears around the edges. The top blank border was folded back at one time. There are a few small stains scattered in the poster and there is small circular paper loss in the bottom left, where a pin was roughly removed (see our image).
