Universal City, the 1915 sheet music ("March"; "Dedicated to the Universal Film Mfg. Co., Builders of University City") featuring music by Charles Arthur. The cover of this sheet music shows an image of the legendary tourist attraction. Carl Laemmle had the brilliant idea in 1915 that as long as the studio needed to maintain elaborate sets and a zoo for the filming of its many movies, they might as well open it to the public and turn it into a tourist attraction, and this was in 1915, when Hollywood was first becoming a reality! Of course, decades later, Walt Disney would follow through on the same idea, with massive success, and there is still a great tourist attraction at Universal City north of Hollywood!
