An Autographed 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Music Publicity Still (Learn More)

Ozzie Nelson was a movie and television actor and singer from the 1940s to the 1970s. Some of his movies include: Take It Big, People Are Funny, and The Impossible Years, however, he is best remembered for his role on the long running television (TV) sitcom The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet alongside his real life wife Harriet Nelson. Note that Harriet was hired by Ozzie to be the vocalist for his orchestra in 1932. They married three years later, and appeared in some movies together, but they were billed separately, and she was still billed as "Harriet Hilliard". They both continued working after the births of their two sons, David and Ricky, but in 1944, they started a radio show, "The Adventures of Ozzie & Harriet", and in 1952, it moved to television, and continued until 1966 (and during that time, son Ricky became a rock 'n' roll legend, first performing songs on their show!).
Important Added Info: Note that this still (which is an early publicity photo for Ozzie when he was still with his orchestra) has been personally autographed (signed) by BOTH Ozzie Nelson AND his wife Harriet. Ozzie was first billed as "Ozzie Nelson and His Orchestra in 1935 right before he married Harriet Hilliard, so this still could be as early as that, because she signed as "Harriet Hilliard", and they were married that year. However, she did continue to use her performing name after they were married in 1935, and she continued to use it until their hugely successful family movie in 1952 and the subsequent TV series, so this still certainly could be from the 1940s as well.

As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased (although we prefer they do any "authenticating" while the auction is "live" and before they place a bid) and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes.

Condition: very good to fine.
