eMoviePoster.comAuction History Result 8p455 ERIK RHODES signed deluxe 8x10 still 1930s head & shoulders portrait in suit & tie w/mustache! Date Sold 8/27/2019Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Autographed Deluxe 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Erik Rhodes was a Broadway stage actor who had a great minor part as a heavily accented European in the stage version of "The Gay Divorcee", and he was brought to Hollywood to recreate that role in the movie version. Over the next five years, he made a couple dozen movies, almost always playing a similar part, which was kind of funny, since he was actually from Oklahoma, but he was an expert in "foreign" accents. He served in World War II, and then returned to the Broadway stage, and never made any more movies. He passed away in 1990 at the age of 84. Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by Erik Rhodes! Our consignor is a longtime collector who purchased this signed item from a reputable dealer. He does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we believe the signature to likely be authentic. Also note that this is a deluxe still printed on double weight paper stock. As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes. Condition: very good.
