Also, note that first release posters of any sort from this very first movie version of The Lone Ranger is extremely scarce, likely because it was bought by Lone Ranger fans decades ago, and has never returned to the hobby! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that while we have auctioned a number of one-sheets from this serial, we have never before auctioned this chapter 3 one-sheet, which has the Lone Ranger in the inset image (and we have only auctioned two other chapter one-sheets in the past 17 years). What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had separation at each crossfold and someone had put a piece of tape on the back of each, and there was also some tape on the back of some fold separation and border tears. In addition, the poster had some pinholes, tears, and small paper loss around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. Learn More about condition grades
