An Unfolded French Special Poster (measures 23 3/4" x 31 1/4" [60 x 79 cm]) (Learn More) Alcoholismo (literally translates to "Alcoholism"), the circa 1900s French series of Spanish-language posters created by Dr. Gustave Philippon & Dr. Legrain which warn of the dangers of alcohol abuse. The posters feature information on the health issues caused by drinking (such as hallucinations, loss of motor control, paralysis and early aging) as well as social ills (such as hostility, embarrassing behavior and family neglect). If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good. The poster was never folded. It has a small blank border tear at left and a few tiny patches of slight discoloration at upper center, but they are not very noticeable or distracting at all from the front.
