Artist: Roger Kastel Important Added Info: Note that we have auctioned just about every size poster created for this most classic movie (including ultra rare domestic and international "7 sheets", but we have NEVER before auctioned THIS poster, from when this movie was first shown on TV on November 4th, 1979! That is not that surprising, because posters created for TV were only sent to TV stations showing the movie, and unlike theaters, those stations really had nowhere to display them, so the posters are usually even more rare than theatrical ones! It may be many years before we auction another example of this poster! This ABC showing was right after the movie's theatrical re-release in 1979, and that first TV broadcast had a Nielsen rating of 39.1 and was 57% of the total audience, which at that time was the second highest rated TV movie (behind the first showing of Gone with the Wind). This first showing was sponsored by the car company Datsun, and that got "Datsun presents" added to the poster above the title! Condition: good. The poster was never folded. It has some creases and scuffs scattered around the edges and a few within the image. It has a piece of tape in each top corner with paper loss in the top right blank corner and creases in the bottom left corner. Obviously it could be displayed as is, or after a relatively simple linenbacking the poster will display wonderfully. Learn More about condition grades
