An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Her Man, the 1930 Tay Garnett Havana Cuba romantic love triangle crime melodrama (about a singer in a low life Cuban nightclub who falls in love with an American sailor, but the owner of the club doesn't want to lose her, and it ends with one of the men dying) starring Helen Twelvetrees, Marjorie Rambeau, Ricardo Cortez, Phillips Holmes, James Gleason, and Franklin Pangborn. Note that Phillips Holmes had made an impression in some movies in the late 1920s. In 1931, he would get the lead in the first version of "An American Tragedy", which made it seem like he would become a major star, but that didn't materialize. He had a major affair with Libby Holman, but that was certainly complicated, and when they broke up, she immediately married his brother! Oddly, years later, Holman would have another very complicated affair with Montgomery Clift, who played the same part in the remake of "An American Tragedy", retitled "A Place in the Sun". Sadly, Holmes died in a plane crash in 1942. I am very surprised no one has made a movie about his life, or a joint movie about him and Libby Holman! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one lobby card from this movie, and we have never auctioned THIS scene card! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: good to very good. There are some tiny brown dot stains scattered in the borders, more so at left and right. There were stains in the blue background at top, to the left of the "H" and between the "A" and "N", and someone put touch up paint over those areas.
