An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) The Headless Ghost, the 1959 Peter Graham Scott English teen fantasy horror thriller ("Head-hunting teenagers lost in the haunted castle!") starring Richard Lyon, Liliane Sottane, David Rose, Clive Revill, and Jack Allen. Note that this appears to have definitely been an English movie, released in the U.S. by AIP. There are two oddities about this. One is that the IMDb gives the U.S. release date as being BEFORE the English release date, and also, we have never seen even one item from the English release! This is likely be because it was specifically made to be a shown as a double-feature along with Horrors of the Black Museum. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Reynold Brown Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had a Canadian censor stamp in the bottom left, slightly extending into the edge of the red box. It had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and some separation in the right half of the top fold, with pinholes around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects, and the restorer pretty much left alone the censor stamp described above. The poster can be displayed and enjoyed as is, or certainly, additional restoration could be performed, with or without re-backing the poster. Learn More about condition grades
