Berke Africa comic strip adventure thriller ("Hunting a long-lost treasure hoard!"; "His most exciting role!"; "Based upon the famous King Features Syndicate newspaper feature"; "Rousing spectacle of wild adventure!"; the very first of the "Jungle Jim" series of movies) starring Johnny Weissmuller (in the title role as Jungle Jim), Virginia Grey, George Reeves, Lita Baron, Rick Vallin, Holmes Herbert, , and Steve Calvert (in an uncredited role as the man in the gorilla suit). Note that in 1948, Steve Calvert bought Ray 'Crash' Corrigan's gorilla costume, which Corrigan had been using in movies since at least 1932. He appeared in 12 movies between 1948 and 1958 as a gorilla wearing Corrigan's costume! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and slight darkening on the folds. It had tiny pinholes around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was backed onto a somewhat thinner linen, and it displays well!
