Note that this is one of 17 bulk lots of wardrobe test photos we were recently consigned and are currently auctioning in 17 separate auctions. Such photos are many times more rare than regular stills, so this is a rare opportunity to acquire one or more of these. Sadly, this was all that our consignor had, so there won't be any other chances after this to purchase from this wonderful find. Note that all of these wardrobe test photos have a visible slate or index card in the image that gives the details about the movies. The studios would use these images for reference if they needed to shoot additional footage at a later time. Note that the items in this lot are mostly from the 1940s. We do not provide a list of these items, but there are images of all of them. Dorothy McGuire was an actress from the 1940s to 1990. Some of her movies include: Gentleman's Agreement (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), The Enchanted Cottage, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, and Old Yeller (as the mother).
