2 Original Vintage Theatrical Autographed Movie Lobby Cards (LCs; measure 10" x 13" [25 x 33 cm]) (Learn More)

The Marriage Circle, the 1924 Ernst Lubitsch silent romantic love triangle marriage infidelity comedy (based on the play 'Only a Dream' by Lothar Schmidt; the "circle" of the title refers to several couples where one couple lusts after another's spouse, and their are some misunderstandings about who is interested in who!) starring Florence Vidor, Monte Blue, Marie Prevost, Adolphe Menjou, Creighton Hale, and Harry Myers. Note that this was German director Ernst Lubitsch's second movie after coming to America. His first was "Rosita" with Mary Pickford, and the director and star clashed constantly, and the movie was not well received. But this movie was a big success, and it helped establish Lubitsch's reputation in America (which continued to grow over the following decade)!

Important Added Info: Note that these lobby cards have been personally autographed (signed) by Florence Vidor! Also note that these lobby cards have been trimmed and they now measure 10" x 13" [25 x 33 cm].

Condition: good. The cards were trimmed around the edges and both have glue staining on the back. Both have been signed by Florence Vidor at lower center, BUT, each also has some writing on the cards (crude writing in the leg of the man she is dancing with in the card pictured at bottom and that card has pencil scribbles at lower right and the other card has some pencil scribbles in the title.) Please carefully see our super-sized images of these two cards as both are signed but also have some additional writing and pencil marks.
