A 1936 Re-Release Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) One Way Passage, the classic 1932 Tay Garnett doomed romance sea voyage romantic melodrama ("You'll never forget William Powell and Kay Francis"; "The 'Grand Hotel' of the sea"; "It's perfect!"; about a condemned man being secretly transported on a cruise ship to his execution, and while traveling, he meets and falls in love with a woman who has a terminal illness!) starring William Powell ("The murderer who dared to die!"), Kay Francis ("The doomed woman who dared to love!"), Aline MacMahon, Frank McHugh, and Warren Hymer. Note that this is a really beautiful movie, and if you haven't seen it, you should! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we have only twice before auctioned examples of this 1936 re-release poster, and one of them was in terrible condition. The other was in "good" condition, and it still sold for $1,326! Note that the original 1932 one-sheet is impossible to find, and would surely sell for a fortune if one were offered for sale or at auction. Sometimes people mistakenly have sold this 1936 re-release as being from the first release, but it is not. Condition: good to very good. The poster has some slight discoloration in the upper and lower crossfolds and along a few areas of the vertical foldline above the lower crossfold (to a lesser extent). The moisture has slightly "softened" the lower crossfold and it has some paper loss and there is some small paper loss at the middle crossfold, and there are some tiny creases and tears between those two crossfolds. There is some separation at the left edge of the lower horizontal fold and there are some tiny creases and small tears along portions of that foldline. The poster was folded in half an extra time resulting in a slightly diagonal vertical foldline at left and right. It is otherwise in generally nice condition and after linenbacking with some restoration to the above-mentioned defects the ultra rare poster will display really well!
