An Original Vintage Theatrical Autographed Deluxe 7 3/4" x 9 3/4" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Mary Pickford was a Canadian actress from the 1900s to the 1930s. She was one of the top silent actresses, who specialized in playing young girl roles as an adult, and she was called "America's Sweetheart", and when she married Douglas Fairbanks, Sr. in 1920, the country rejoiced (and the country mourned when they divorced in 1936!). Some of her movies include: Little Annie Rooney (in the title role), Sparrows, My Best Girl, Coquette (winner of the Best Actress Academy Award for this film; in the title role), and Tess of the Storm Country. She passed away in 1979 at the age of 87. Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by Mary Pickford! Also note that this still has been trimmed and it now measures 7 3/4" x 9 3/4" [20 x 25 cm]. Finally, note that this is a deluxe still printed on double weight paper stock. Our consignor is a longtime memorabilia dealer who has purchased autographs several times over the past 30 years, and he feels certain that this signature is authentic. The ink is smudged on the "y" of "Mary" (it looks like it might have happened when she was writing it with a fountain pen), and that she drew a line over the smudged area.
