An Original Vintage Theatrical Window Card Movie Poster (WC; measures 14" x 22") (Learn More)

MacKinlay Kantor's Happy Land, the 1943 Irving Pichel World War II (WWII) Home Front patriotic propaganda fantasy ghost family melodrama (based on the novel by MacKinlay Kantor; about a small town druggist whose son is killed in World War II, and he thinks his son's life was wasted, but his grandfather's ghost returns to show his grandson why his great grandson's life was worthwhile, and to also show him that his own life was very worthwhile as well) starring Don Ameche, Frances Dee, Harry Carey Sr., Ann Rutherford, Harry Morgan, Minor Watson, Dickie Moore, and Natalie Wood (in a bit part). Note that this movie has many of the plot elements of "It's a Wonderful Life", set against a World War II background, and it clearly served as a parable to show World War II audiences why they were fighting and why they needed to accept the sacrifices of individual family members for the good of the country!

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: This window card was never folded. Often window cards would be folded across the middle, because that would make them 11" x 14", and they could then be sent with standard folded posters. Most collectors put an added value on a window card that has never been folded.

Condition: good to very good. There are some faint water stains in the background area by the title and a few in the borders, but otherwise, the card is in pretty good condition!
