A Vintage Autographed Hardcover Book (measures 5 1/2" x 8 1/4" [14 x 21 cm]; 170 pages) (Learn More) South Pacific, the 1949 - 1954 Joshua Logan Broadway musical (with music by Richard Rodgers & Oscar Hammerstein) that ran from April 7th, 1949 until January 16th, 1954 at the Majestic Theatre & the Broadway Theatre, starring Mary Martin, Ezio Pinza, Juanita Hall, Myron McCormick, and Betta St. John. Note that this show was turned into a movie in 1958 with Mitzi Gaynor and Rossano Brazzi. Important Added Info: Note that this book has been personally autographed (signed) by TWENTY FOUR people: Mary Martin, Ezio Pinza, Myron McCormick, Juanita Hall, Christina Lind, Jack Fontan, Dickinson Eastham, Sandra Deel, Betta St. John, Bill Dwyer, Richard Loo, Jean Barrere, Jim Hawthorne, Henry Michel, Fred Sadoff, Don Fellows, Jacqueline Fisher, Mary Ann Reeve, and there are six other signatures we cannot identify. If anyone knows who else signed this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. What an amazing memento of this Broadway stage play this is! It was signed by the most important cast members (see our images). Our consignor is a longtime dealer who acquired this signed item among many other purchases in his inventory, and he does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we believe the signatures to likely be authentic. Also note that we have pictured the front cover, the title page, and the interior page that shows the publishing information, and one or more interior 2-page spreads. As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased (although we prefer they do any "authenticating" while the auction is "live" and before they place a bid) and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes. Condition: good. The book itself is in pretty nice condition. The dust jacket has separated into a number of pieces, and there is some paper loss in parts of it (as seen in our image).
