Felix Dzerzhinsky was a Polish politician from the 1890s to the 1920s. He is best known for establishing and developing the Soviet secret police forces and served as their director from 1917 to 1926. He passed away in 1926 at the age of 48 from a heart attack after a 2 hour speech.
