Date Sold 6/28/2020 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. a lot of 11 1960s TV contact sheets from The Ed Sullivan Show (known as "Toast of the Town" until 1955), the 1948 - 1971 Kenneth Whelan musical comedy television (TV) series starring Ed Sullivan (as the host), Frank Shuster, Johnny Wayne, Roberta Peters, Jack Carter, and Richie Layne. Note that these are what photographers call "contact sheets". Traditionally, film photographers will print these sheets to quickly show clients a large number of images so they can choose the ones they like. In this case, the still photographer on the set shot various images of the cast and crew for use in promoting the movie. What is great about these contact sheets is that they are from the October 6, 1963 episode (and there is a label on the front of one of them stating that), and The Three Stooges, Moe Howard, Larry Fine, and Curly Joe DeRita, appeared on the show for the third time, and they only appeared one more time after this, and images of them appear on two of the contact sheets (other people appearing that night included heavyweight champion Sonny Liston, who "performed" with The Three Stooges, Kate Smith, and others).
