A Linenbacked Italian Advertising Poster (measures 13 1/4" x 18 1/2" [34 x 47 cm]) (Learn More)

Binaca, the 1950s Italian advertising poster promoting Binaca toothpaste, and featuring art of a beautiful woman with a pearly white smile. Note that it appears that this toothpaste is not connected to the famous breath spray of the same name, but certainly it could be! Also note that the poster has an artist's signature on it, but we cannot read it. If anyone knows more about this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster was never folded. It had some faint scuffs in the top and bottom borders, with a few in the left and right borders. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above.
