An Original Vintage 8" x 9 3/4" [20 x 25 cm] Army Air Force Official Photograph (Learn More) Rin Tin Tin is the most famous dog canine star ever! This German Shepherd was rescued in France at the end of World War I by U.S. Air Corporal Lee Duncan. He made his first movie in 1923, and by 1926, he was Warner Bros.' #1 star, and he made a total of 28 movies. He passed away in 1932 at the age of 13. One of his sons was quickly dubbed "Rin Tin Tin, Jr." and he starred in a number of films, but he was not the equal of his famous father. Rin Tin Tin was the most successful canine star of all time! Important Added Info: Note that this great still (and two others) we are auctioning were apparently once in the estate of Lee Duncan, the soldier who brought Rin Tin Tin back from France after World War I, and who made him a star. "EX-LEE DUNCAN" is written in pencil on the back of all three stills, which are in three separate auctions. We have no "certificate of authenticity", but we think it is extremely likely that these stills came from Lee Duncan's estate. Also note that this still measures 8" x 9 3/4" [20 x 25 cm], but it has not been trimmed. Condition: good to very good. Learn More about condition grades
