A Set of 2 Original Vintage Decks of Playing Cards (box measures 1" x 3 3/4" x 4 3/4") (Learn More) Gil (Gillette) Elvgren was an American pin-up artist and illustrator from the 1930s to 1980. His clients ranged from Brown and Bigelow and Coca-Cola to General Electric and Sealy Mattress Company. In addition, during the 1940s and 1950s he illustrated stories for a host of magazines, such as The Saturday Evening Post and Good Housekeeping. He is one of the most important pin-up and glamour artists of the twentieth century. He passed away in 1980 at the age of 66. Important Added Info: Note that this lot contains images of unclothed women, so we have placed white bars over those areas, for those who are bothered by such images. Of course, the actual items do not have those white bars! Condition: very good to fine. The cards are in their original case and are shrink-wrapped and have never been opened (which is why we can only show you the fronts and backs of each pack).
