Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Alice Gets in Dutch, the 1924 Walt Disney silent live-action animation animated cartoon family comedy short (animated by Ub Iwerks and Rollin Hamilton) starring Virginia Davis (in the title role as Alice), Tommy Hicks, David F. Hollander, Leon Holmes, Mrs. Hunt, and Spec O'Donnell. Note that the Alice Comedies were a series of 57 live-action animated shorts created by Walt Disney in the 1920s, in which a live action little girl named Alice and an animated cat named Julius have adventures in an animated landscape. The shorts were the first works by what ultimately became The Walt Disney Company. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good to fine. there is 5" of separation on the right of the bottom foldline and 10" of separation in the middle of the bottom foldline; there is 3" of separation in the middle of the top foldline and 1" of separation at each end of the top foldline; there is separation and tiny paper loss at each crossfold; there are small tears and small areas of paper loss around the edges of the poster, but it is all in the blank borders, and in the outer edges of the blank borders; there are two diagonal foldlines in the right center of the poster beginning at the right of Alice's figure and going to the edge of the right border, above and below the middle foldline; Why is this poster in "very good to fine" condition, with the above separations and areas of paper loss? Because the above defects are basically minor, and can be easily and completely corrected by linenbacking. The poster is in really nice unrestored condition, (there is not a piece of tape or a pinhole anywhere on it!) and the color is quite bright, and there is no sense of it having faded at all (it may never have been exposed to light!).
