An Original 1964 (from the first release of this movie in the U.K.) Vintage Theatrical Folded British Quad Movie Poster (BQ; Quad Crown; measures 30" x 40" [76 x 102 cm]) (Learn More) Paranoiac, the 1963 Freddie Francis English Hammer horror thriller ("A harrowing excursion into terror that takes you deep into the twisted mind of a... Paranoiac!"; "When it comes to LOVE or MURDER... There is no one as dangerous as the... 'PARANOIAC'!"; "An excursion into chilling terror... that takes you into a twisted mind!") starring Janette Scott, Oliver Reed, Sheila Burrell, Alexander Davion, and Liliane Brousse. Note that Janette Scott is best remembered for her starring role in "Day of the Triffids" in 1963, which was immortalized in the lyrics of the song from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" that says "And I really got hot When I saw Janette Scott fight a triffid that spits poison and kills." She divorced her first husband and married Mel Torme in 1966, which pretty much ended her career, as she quickly had two children. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is a "country of origin" poster for this English movie! Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good to very good. The poster has several tiny pinholes around the edges that mostly fall into the blank borders, however there are also several tiny pinholes in portions of the artwork itself, especially at center. There are a few very minor areas of fold sedge separation in the lower two vertical foldline edges (repaired with tape from the back at lower left) and in the crossfolds along the center horizontal fold as well as the left edge of the center horizontal fold, and each of those areas are backed by clear tape, and one small portion of the separation in the rightmost crossfold has been touched up with marker (to the lower left of that crossfold). There is an extra light horizontal crease under he center horizontal fold. Most of these defects are not very noticeable or distracting overall, and after a simple linenbacking the poster will look great but we are certain that many Hammer horror collectors would be quite happy with the poster as is!
