An Unfolded Advertising Poster (measures 16" x 27" [41 x 69 cm]) (Learn More) Coca-Cola (Coke) is a carbonated beverage that was created in 1886 by Colonel John Pemberton. At that time, Coca-Cola's two main ingredients were cocaine and caffeine, and it was initially marketed as a tonic that could cure morphine addiction, dyspepsia, neurasthenia, headache, and impotence. Today, Coca-Cola is a world-wide corporation and the soft drink (and many other beverages under the Coca-Cola brand name) can be found in every corner of the globe. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is an unused 1955 Coca-Cola point of sale poster! It was printed by Snyder and Black, in two different versions, one mounted to cardboard and one that was not mounted (this poster). This regular unmounted poster was designed to be hung in a window or on a wall and the shopkeeper could fill in information such as a price in the blank areas. Also note that this poster features art of "Sprite Boy" who was introduced in the 1940s! Condition: very good. The poster was never folded. It has a tiny amount of discoloration at center left and lower center and there are some very tiny areas of paper loss along portions of the right edge. It has a few light creases. The very few tiny edge defects are not very noticeable or distracting when the poster is displayed and otherwise it is in nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
