An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked British Quad Movie Poster (BQ; Quad Crown; measures approximately 30" x 40") (Learn More)

Torch Song, the 1953 Charles Walters bad girl romantic musical melodrama ("Tough Baby - a wonderful love story with the star of 'Sudden Fear' and for the first time you'll see her in Technicolor!"; "Based on a story by I.A.R. Wylie") starring Joan Crawford, Michael Wilding, Gig Young, Marjorie Rambeau (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), Harry Morgan, Peter Chong, and Paul Guilfoyle. Note that many of the posters and the title card for this movie feature very unusual surreal art of Joan Crawford. If anyone knows who dew it, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Condition: very good. The poster had small paper loss at the bottom left two crossfolds and a 3" tear in the upper part of the right vertical foldline, in the shadowed part of Crawford's face. There was some fine surface paper loss and creases and scuffs on parts of some foldlines, and some creases and tiny tears in the borders. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well! Note that at some point after linenbacking, the poster was roughly handled and there are now minor creases in the top border (in both the linen and the actual border of the poster). This would diminish greatly if the poster were put under weight, and it would not show at all if the poster was framed.
