An Original Vintage Theatrical Paperbacked English Double Crown Movie Poster (measures 20" x 30") (Learn More)

The Getaway, the classic 1972 Sam Peckinpah romantic crime action thriller ("Screenplay by Walter Hill"; "From the novel by Jim Thompson") starring Steve McQueen (as Doc McCoy), Ali MacGraw (as Carol McCoy), Ben Johnson (as Jack Beynon), Al Lettieri (as Rudy Butler), Sally Struthers ("as Fran"), Slim Pickens, Jack Dodson, Dub Taylor, and Bo Hopkins. Note that the source novel of this movie was pretty "unfilmable" as written (especially the ending!), but Walter Hill did an excellent job adapting it, and while it is not the same story, it is in many ways faithful to the original, and it is certainly one of the best movies of its kind ever made!

Important Added Info: Also note that this English double crown measures 20" x 30".

Condition: very good to fine. The poster was folded twice, and there were rough creases and a few tiny tears on both foldlines. There were some creases around the edges of the poster. There was a thin line of discoloration down the top of the left blank border. The poster was well backed, and looks great, but the restorer did not do anything to the discoloration in the top of the left border (likely rightfully assuming it would not show when the poster is framed).
