An Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Barbara Kent (born Barbara Cloutman) was an actress from the 1920s to the 1940s. She was just 4' 7", but quite pretty, and she won the 1925 Miss Hollywood beauty pageant at age 17 and soon went into movies, becoming one of the WAMPAS Baby Stars of 1927. In 1932, she married Harry Edington producer and agent for stars like Greta Garbo and Marlene Dietrich, and she basically retired in 1935. After Edington passed in 1949, she remarried in 1954, and her second husband passed away in 1998. She passed away in 2011 at the age of 103! Some of her movies include: The Shakedown, The Fleet's In, Oliver Twist, Under Age, and Blondie Meets the Boss AND Dorothy Gulliver was an actress from the 1920s to the 1970s. She won a Salt Lake City beauty contest when she was 19, and she went to Hollywood, where she had many parts in shorts, many of them westerns. In the very early 1930s, she started getting roles in feature length B-westerns and a few other non-westerns, but parts for her dried up, and she played fewer and fewer roles in the 1930s and early 1940s (most uncredited), and she retired in 1944, but she came out of retirement a few times, including in John Cassavetes' "Faces" in 1968. Overall, she appeared in 97 movies, and she passed away in 1997 at the age of 88. Condition: good to very good. There is a 1" tear in the lower left border and a smaller tear in the right of the bottom border, as well as a few faint creases scattered throughout (mostly only noticeable when the still is tilted to the light), but the still is otherwise in pretty good condition!
