Le Voyage Dans La Lune (released in the U.S. as "A Trip to the Moon"), the 1902 George Melies French science fiction (sci-fi) silent adventure short starring Francois Lallement, Jule-Eugene Legris, Victor Andre, Bleuette Bernon, Jeanne d'Alcy, and George Melies (in the title role as The Moon). Note that this film is widely regarded as the earliest example of the science fiction film genre and as one of the most influential films in cinema history.

Important Added Info: Note that this heavy-stock poster was created to promote a showing of this classic French movie at the Cannes Film Festival. The version shown was a pre-1906 hand-colored print which was painstakingly restored from 2002 to 2011!
