An Original Vintage Theatrical 8 1/4" x 10" [21 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Lionel Belmore was an English actor from the 1910s to the 1940s. He appeared in 182 movies, but he is likely best remembered for his appearances in Universal horror movies, including Frankenstein and two of its sequels! He passed away in 1953 at the age of 85. Important Added Info: Note that the back of this photograph has a stamp that reads "PHOTO BY CLARENCE BULL". Of course, this is Clarence Sinclair Bull, who became one of the absolute top studio photographers of the 1930s and 1940s (primarily at MGM). This is one of the earliest Bull photographs we have ever seen, and it is interesting to note that he was working for "Goldwyn Pictures", which of course later merged to form MGM.
