An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Other Company One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Slim, the 1937 Ray Enright power linemen romantic love triangle melodrama (about the dangers faced by men who string high-power lines, at great personal risk; "Two reckless linemen in love with one girl!"; "Hands off! High tension love!") starring Pat O'Brien, Henry Fonda (in the title role as Slim), Margaret Lindsay, Stuart Erwin, J. Farrell MacDonald, Dick Purcell, Joseph Sawyer, Craig Reynolds, John Litel, and Jane Wyman (in her fifth credited movie role!) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this was printed by the "other company". This was a company in the Midwest that from 1936 to 1940 printed its own one-sheets and lobby card sets for three major studio movies (Warner Brothers, Paramount and United Artists, but no other studios). The posters and lobby cards are from the original release of the movie, and almost always have completely different artwork from the regular studio release. They never have the name of the releasing studio on the poster or any of the lobby cards. Sometimes, "other company" posters or lobby cards have sold for more than the regular studio release posters or lobby cards! Condition: good. there is 16" of separation down the vertical foldline starting in Lindsay's shoulder and running to the bottom crossfold; there is 8" of separation in the middle of the bottom foldline; there is small paper loss at the top crossfold; there are water stains, creases, and smudges around the edges of the poster; there are light creases and smudges throughout the poster; there are water stains on the left and right ends of the top foldline. This is the type of poster that responds extremely well to restoration. Its defects are the sort that can completely disappear after expert restoration (without putting a lot of paint anywhere on the poster).
