Date Sold 6/29/2017Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Unfolded World War II Poster (measures 16" x 23" [41 x 58 cm]) (Learn More) Young America Wants to Help, the 1940s U.S. World War II (WWII) Home Front poster ("730 Fifth Avenue New York City Circle 7-2300"; "Operated under the auspices of The British War Relief Society, Inc. - U.S. State Department License No. 208") encouraging youth to help with the war effort. We have seen two versions of this poster. One version measures 14" x 20" and features art of three juveniles stacking boxes of supplies and watching an explosion by F.T. Chapman. The other measures 16" x 23" and has an image of Lady Liberty with explosions in the background (presumably all the way across the ocean on the shores of England) by A. Pellicano & J. Marlin. Artist: A. Pellicano & J. Marlin Important Added Info: Note that this item needs to be shipped in an oversized flat package. Some of these items can ONLY be sent in flat packages, and could not possibly be rolled into a tube. On some of them (for example f it is a size that might ordinarily be rolled in a tube, like a half-sheet), the reason it is in this auction is specifically because we feel it either CAN'T be rolled or because we feel it would be a mistake to roll it, because it might well damage the item. In the case of the few items that could be rolled, we will roll the item in a tube if the new owner insists, but only if they accept that they can't return the item if it is damaged from being rolled. So please bear in mind that this item must be sent in a LARGE flat package (the size of the package will depend on the size of the item), and bear this added expense in mind before placing a bid on it. Condition: good to very good. The poster is mounted to a heavy board, and we don't know if it was created and distributed that way, but it certainly was done some time soon after the poster was created. There is tiny paper loss in the bottom right corner, and some creases and scuffs in the corners (see our image). Learn More about condition grades
