The Haunted House, the 1928 Benjamin Christensen horror comedy ("Packed to the rafter with thrills"; about people gathering at a house to hear the reading of a will; a plot that would be reused many many times!) starring Chester Conklin, Thelma Todd, Larry Kent, Edmund Breese, Montagu Love (as the Mad Doctor), Sidney Bracey, William V. Mong, Barbara Bedford, and Flora Finch. Note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist.

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. Prior to paperbacking, the card had some faint smudges and stains scattered throughout, and pinholes, tears, and areas of paper loss around the edges. Overall, the card was in good to very good condition prior to paperbacking. The person who did the restoration put new blank white paper over all the borders to even out the appearance (but the small writing at the bottom of the poster was not covered over). This is a common technique used by several top restorers. It is done so well that the majority of collectors are not even aware it has been done, and many do not feel it to be a significant detraction (since it is only blank white area that was affected). The card was nicely backed, and displays well!
