An Unfolded English Travel Poster (measures 20" x 30" [51 x 76 cm]) (Learn More) BOAC: Hong Kong, the 1957 English airplane airline aviation travel poster promoting travel to Hong Kong aboard the British Overseas Airways Corporation (BOAC) ("Jet your way to Hong Kong by B.O.A.C."; "First around the world with jets") and featuring art of an London street scene. If anyone knows more about this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster has a plastic-like coating (similar to being laminated). But THIS IS HOW THE POSTER WAS CREATED! Airlines would sometimes create posters in this way because they knew they would be hanging in travel agencies unprotected and these posters obviously could withstand the elements far better than regular printed posters. But they likely had to abandon the process because it was a lot more expensive than printing regular paper posters. But know that this is how the poster was created and it is not any sort of defect (and it means you can display the poster without glass or Plexiglas and not worry about it being harmed!).
