Important Added Info: Technically, this is a "re-release", because the movie premiered at the Venice Film festival in 1962, but it probably played at no other Italian locations until 1968, when it had its first Italian wide release. Since there is no chance that anyone has any kind of poster from that Venice Film Festival release, this is as close to a "first release" as you can come, but we still want to be technically accurate!
