Hudson's unforgettable story of South America... Of Rima, mysterious as she was beautiful... Of the Strange Secret that lay hidden in a forgotten land unknown to man."; "All the adventure and romance of W.H. Hudson's unforgettable story."; "Based On the Novel by William Henry Hudson"; about a young man who encounters a mysterious girl who lives in the Amazon Jungle, and he falls madly in love with her) starring Audrey Hepburn, Anthony Perkins, Sessue Hayakawa, Lee J. Cobb, and Henry Silva. Note that this was originally going to be filmed in 1932 with Joel McCrea and Dolores Del Rio, but the project never got made. In the 1950s, Vincente Minnelli originally started making this movie with Pier Angeli and Edmund Purdom starring, but MGM chiefs hated the early footage, and cancelled the production. Mel Ferrer revived it for his wife Audrey Hepburn, and she turned down the lead role in "The Diary of Anne Frank" to make this. Sadly, it was a massive flop, losing around $2.5 million, a massive amount of money at that time! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. We realize there is an element of gambling to this, but we made only a small effort to find the best four stills in these lots, and, if you have any willingness to gamble at all, you may find that you get some great stills that were not pictured! Please do NOT bid on this lot unless you can accept that you are only seeing four of the stills. Note that on our larger lots of black and white stills (mostly the ones with nine or more in the lot), there are a small number of lots where there may be one or several duplicated stills in the stills not pictured (we only picture four of the stills on all of the black and white lots). Sometimes we noted when some of the stills not pictured were duplicates to the ones that were pictured, but we likely did not catch that on many of the lots (especially the ones with a large number of stills), so please do not bid on the lots of nine or more stills unless you can accept the possibility that there may be some duplicated stills contained in the lot.
