An Original Vintage Autographed Letterhead (measures 6 1/2" x 10 1/4") (Learn More) Ring Lardner was a sports columnist and short story writer from the 1900s to the 1930s, best known for his satire about sports, marriage, and the theatre. Some of his works include: You Know Me Al, The Real Dope, and Zanzibar. He passed away in 1933 at the age of 48 from a heart attack related to tuberculosis. Important Added Info: Note that this item has been personally autographed (signed) by Ring Lardner! It is a page with his letterhead, and he signed in the middle of the blank sheet. The person who owned this cut out a tiny piece from a vintage newspaper that has an art portrait of Mr. Lardner, in case the new owner would like to display the two items together, but of course, it could also be displayed with any photo of Mr. Lardner. The consignor of this autographed item (and a large number of other signed items in this auction) is a longtime autograph collector who does not have a Certificate of Authenticity (COA) for this item, but he feels certain it is genuine. Many of the items he has consigned were purchased from an autograph store that was going out of business when the owner retired, and many of the items he has consigned to this set of auctions come from this purchase.
