An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Wild Justice, the 1925 Chester M. Franklin silent canine dog German Shepherd adventure thriller starring Peter the Great, George Sherwood, Frank Hagney, and Frances Teague. Note that Peter the Great would seem to have been a Rin Tin Tin imitator, but he actually made his debut as a puppy one year before Rin Tin Tin did. Peter appeared in five movies, and might well have challenged Rin Tin Tin's popularity, but tragically, he was shot and killed in 1926 at the height of his career (eerily, the poster for "Wild Justice" shows a man drawing a gun, about to shoot Peter the Great!). Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good to fine. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and minor fold and border wear. Overall, the poster was in very good to fine condition prior to linenbacking.
